Praying for peace

Peace was the theme of the Sunday Evening Taize style Worship service with several Taize chanting songs led by Gill and Belinda with powerful prayers for peace.

We enjoyed a time of fellowship outside the church in the beautiful evening sunshine.

Contributions of dry produce were brought for the local Secours Populaire. We enjoyed a delicious meal together, with music and dancing! Thank you everyone for generous gifts, we raised an amazing 1150 € for three charities: Feed the Hungry, inHope and Médécins Sans Frontières.

Harvest celebration and fundraising meal

Over 50 people came to a Harvest celebration service in the église St Jean Baptiste at Montauriol which was led by Rev’d Barrie Green and Tina Marshall. The message was one of being grateful for God to his provisions and celebrating, whilst remembering that we are called to care for God’s creation (so that it can provide for us) and the poorest people in the world are suffering, many because of creation not being looked after – with global warming causing climate change.

Glorious Easter celebration!

What joy to gather at the church in Doudrac on Easter Sunday, to worship and praise the Lord with singing and Alleluias! Two young children were baptised and welcomed into our church family.

The service was followed by refreshments in the salle des fêtes next to the church.

Lot et Garonne Church Banner

A particular thank you to Norma Eckett for the magnificent textile church banner she has produced from ‘bricks’ contributed by members of the Lot et Garonne congregations, and which hangs in rotation in each of the churches.

Fundraising for Charity

The Chaplaincy-wide Chap-Aid Charity Auction was started in Sept 2023, and along with online sales (via Vinted and LeBonCoin started in Jan 2024) have raised 275 € for the Henry Henderson Project in Malawi.
