2026: 'Bearing with one another in Love'

“Bearing with one another in Love” is based on Ephesians 4:2

The Chaplain writes:

Dear friends,

Jesus commands us to love one another. But sometimes it is a challenge to know what this means in practice. In Ephesians 4:2, St Paul helps us to understand some of the attitudes we need to nurture to sustain good relationships in the church. I encourage everyone to memorise and live according to this verse as our motto for 2026.

Hope in our hearts

 

“ And the one who was seated on the throne said, ‘See, I am making all things new.’ Also he said, ‘Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true.’”

This Bible passage describes the ongoing work and activity of the Lord. He doesn’t sit still! And who among us can pretend we know or have experienced all that there is of Him to know and experience? So can we go into the New Year with hope in our hearts and a desire to see what new thing God is doing and join in?
