Fundraising for our church
Since 1998 the Chaplaincy has been self-supporting financially. We are grateful to all those who support the ministry at St Catherine’s and the wider Chaplaincy so faithfully. Please do consider how you can best help us achieve the monies that are needed to keep the work of the Chaplaincy – each year our church community aims to contribute in the region of 30,000 €.
If you would like to know more about how to contribute, our Treasurer would be glad to guide you through the most effective ways of giving – speak with our Local Treasurer: 05 53 73 13 59 email: bobgillsweetman24@gmail.com
Charities we support
Throughout the year, we also organise fundraising events to raise monies for the various charities we support, donating the funds through our sister association, Chap-Aid, click here to visit the website:
The three pillars of action of Mercy Ships are to operate, train and renovate, contributing to the general humanitarian mission of supporting and strengthening health systems in African countries. Our vision is to realistically restore health and dignity to people in need.
Resto du Coeur, the local food bank provides food throughout the year for the needy. The Le Bugue centre serves many people living on their own, so the need is for small tins, and 1-portion meals. There is a basket at the back of the church to collect donated items. If you would prefer to donate funds for a shopping trip, please contact: 06 07 04 07 77 email: midnightshadow13@gmail.com.
Chaplaincy-wide Fundraising for Charity with Chap-Aid
The Chaplaincy-wide Chap-Aid Charity Auction was started in Sept 2023, and along with online sales (via Vinted and LeBonCoin started in Jan 2024) have raised 275 € for the Henry Henderson Project in Malawi.
