Coronation celebration!
What joy to gather at the church in Doudrac on Sunday 7th May, to worship and praise the Lord. Afterwards we celebrated the coronation of King Charles III over a finger buffet, toasting a new era beginning.

Lot et Garonne Church Banner
A particular thank you to Norma Eckett for the magnificent textile church banner she has produced from ‘bricks’ contributed by members of the Lot et Garonne congregations, and which hangs in rotation in each of the churches.
L'Eglise Saint Martin in Dondas (47470) is located south-west of Beauville and mid-way between Agen and Tournon d’Agenais.

L'Eglise Saint Jean Baptiste in Doudrac (47210) is located on the D250 is about 5 kms west of Villereal. This congregation at Doudrac has grown to meet the needs of the growing number of English speaking people in the area in the north-east Lot-et-Garonne. The local mayor and the Abbé of Montflanquin have been very supportive, and are delighted that this lovely old church is being used on a regular basis by an ever growing congregation.
Our congregation is drawn from across the north, east and central Lot et Garonne and from the southern Dordogne.
Our special thanks are due to the parish of Sainte Therese de l’Enfant Jesu des Bastides and to the Commune of Doudrac for allowing us to share with them the Church of St John the Baptist and the Salle des Fetes.
Holy Communion is held every first Sunday at 11h00, and Evening Worship on every third Sunday. Church of England forms of worship are used. Also, we hold a Harvest Festival in the Autumn, as well as a Bilingual service of Christmas Carols which has become a well-received tradition. Congregations of over 30 are usual throughout the year, with numbers doubling for major festivals. All are welcome to join us!

Quarterly services are held in the Old School House in the village of Envals between Villereal and Monflanquin.
This congregation is made up of local people who, until now, have found themselves over an hour away from existing Anglican congregations.
Services of Holy Communion are held about four times a year. Informal services of Holy Communion are held on weekdays in a private home using Church of England forms of worship. They are usually followed by a lunch. All are welcome to join us!
The 'House Church'at the home of Liz and David Rolfe in Envals open their home to host a pattern of quarterly services of Holy Communion. Lunch is always offered after the service, and if you would like to attend, please contact Liz or David on 05 53 01 78 76.

Envals in April 2022 - two charity fundraising events
In mid April there was a “Pop up Tea” at the home of Liz and Dave Rolfe, and a total of 531 euros was raised for the Ukraine appeal. Many people enjoyed the afternoon chatting with friends and enjoying the teas. Many thanks to all who came and also to the “kitchen elves”.
At the end of the month of April there was a second Charity lunch in aid of Ukraine at the home of Liz and Richard Morris. A total of 655 euros was raised at the second lunch event. So a grand total of 1407 was raised from both lunches.
Many thanks to all who came, sent donations, donated soup, wine and raffle prizes.
L'Eglise Saint Médard in St Médard, in the commune of Clermont Dessous (47130) is one of the churches in the Lot et Garonne in which Anglican services are occasionally held.
The first service was at Christmas 2011, a Carol Service of Nine Lessons and Carols, held jointly with the Catholic church and was conducted equally in English and French. We are delighted that this has become an annual tradition.
Previously there were generally four services held each year: Easter Sunday, Summer service in July, Harvest Festival in September and the Christmas Carol Service, with the local community in English and French, in December.
The GPS coordinates are: 44.252324 - 0.457481
Our Thanks We are very grateful to Père Jean-Jacques Fauconnet for allowing the Chaplaincy of Aquitaine to conduct services in this church. We are lucky to have the use of such a lovely church. Thanks also go to the Mayor and people of St Médard, Clermont Dessous for their support, especially Carol Spires who prepares the church so beautifully for the services.
Welcome Everyone is welcome to the services and we hope that many will join us in worship at St Médard.
Keeping up to date If you would like to receive notices of future services and other events at St Médard, please contact Carol Spires, information below.
