Day 4 – Charlotte

I’m finding the media so conflicting at the moment. I turn on the news and become fixated on the crisis, the numbers, the money markets, the overflowing hospitals and exhausted health care workers, horror and uncertainty surrounds us. Anxious times ! What will happen and when will it ever end. Then I look on social media and I find amusing memes, stories of goodwill, encouraging tweets, and so many clergy colleagues across the globe filming prayers, services and talks. This morning I had the great pleasure of listening to my friend Fr Alaric Lewis singing morning prayer alone in his church in Nolfolk. What a blessing ! These are tough times, we are in isolation, we are separated from each other, often standing in darkness but we know, …don’t we ? …we know where our hope comes from! Today lets fix our eyes on Jesus, lets pray for each other and lets give thanks for the small things which keep us connected. I hope you enjoy the song below from Hillsong. Lyrics that speak to me this day and I hope to you too xx

Turn your eyes upon Jesus look full in His wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace
